We would like to congratulate our partner university in London on its excellent performance in the “University of London” survey commissioned by the renowned TIMES and SUNDAY TIMES newspapers.

Overall, the University climbed 25 places in the Times and Sunday Times league table, with teaching quality and student experience shown to be of a particularly high standard.

The HST offering has been complemented by the HST Academy since January 2010. Two bachelor’s degree programs are offered here so far.

The Bachelor of Shipping, Trade and Transport (BSc) degree program has been available since January 2010. Already mentioned in the same year in the study “Maritime Qualification Competencies at the Hamburg Location” as a unique academic degree for the field of Maritime Economics.

The program was expanded in January 2011 to include the Bachelor of International Travel Tourism Management (BA).

  • Our cooperation partner, London Metropolitan University, is the largest university in London with more than 33,000 students.
  • The university has existed in its current form since 2002, when London Guildhall University (founded in 1848) and the University of North London (founded in 1896) merged.
  • The university's eight faculties offer a very broad spectrum with courses in the humanities, education, law and social sciences, medicine and natural sciences
  • One of the main areas of study offered is in the field of economics. These degree programs are offered at the London Metropolitan Business School, located in London's financial district.
  • London Metropolitan University also has a long tradition of academic training for shipping, trade and logistics as well as for tourism in bachelor's and master's degree programs.
